There are so many reasons why November is bad timing for me but this year I’m going to do it. I’m going to do NaNoWriMo. Here’s the link for my profile. I will be writing under the alias “Cerealboxreader.”
I will be attempting to write a 50 000 word novel between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30. I’ve done these speed-writing contests before but I’ve never managed to salvage any of the writing. This time I have a different plan. I’m going to write linked short stories. That way, if I do dream up an idea with legs, I won’t have to edit through an incredibly bad manuscript to get to it. If I manage to write 2000 words per day of short story material this month, it will be well worth the loss of sleep…
